Getting Started

How does Home Battery Connect™ work?

Home Battery Connect™ helps you find the right home battery system based on your home, your energy usage, and your backup priorities.

You answer a few questions, we recommend a system, and you see exactly how it works before deciding whether to move forward. No sales calls and no pressure.

Do I need to talk to a sales rep?

No. The entire experience is designed to work online.

You can review your system, watch your walkthrough, and decide next steps on your own schedule. Support is available if you need it, but nothing is forced.

How long does it take to get my recommendation?

Most homeowners receive their system recommendation in just a few minutes after answering the initial questions.

System & Backup Power

Will this power my entire home?

It depends on the system size you choose and how your home uses energy.

Your system walk-through shows exactly what your system can power and how long it will last during an outage, so expectations are clear before you move forward.

Do I need solar to get a battery?

No. Many homeowners install battery systems with or without solar.

Your recommendation is based on your home and energy usage, not whether you already have solar panels.

What happens during a power outage?

When the grid goes down, your battery system automatically provides backup power to supported circuits in your home.

Your walkthrough explains what stays on, how long backup lasts, and how to manage energy during an outage.

Is my battery system AC- or DC-coupled?

All Home Battery Connect™ systems use AC-coupled batteries.

This means the battery connects directly to your home’s electrical system and works with or without existing solar. AC-coupled systems are easier to install, easier to service, and more flexible over time, which is why we use them as our standard.

Cost & Financing

How much does a home battery system cost?

System pricing depends on system size, your home’s needs, and installation requirements.

Before moving forward, you’ll see estimated cost ranges and examples to help you understand what a system like yours typically looks like. Final pricing is confirmed after a standard site inspection.

Do I have to finance, or can I pay cash?

You can choose to finance or pay cash.

Home Battery Connect™ offers a simple pre-qualification to help you understand whether financing may be an option. Final financing is selected and completed through your assigned EPC installer after the site inspection. Cash and private pay options are always available.

Warranty & Protection

What kind of warranty comes with the system?

Every system includes an industry-standard 10-year limited battery warranty provided by the manufacturer.

Warranty details are clearly outlined before you proceed to financing or payment.

Who is responsible if something goes wrong?

Battery manufacturers cover equipment under their warranty.

Licensed installers cover installation workmanship.

Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined before installation begins.

Installation & Timing

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed within approximately 30–45 days, depending on permitting, utility coordination, and inspections.

Some homes may move faster, while others require additional steps to ensure safety and compliance.

Who installs the system?

Systems are installed by licensed local EPC partners who handle permitting, installation, inspection, and ongoing service.

Home Battery Connect™ verifies licensing and monitors project progress.

Will there ever be extra costs during installation?

In most cases, no.

Your system price includes allowances that cover the most common installation needs, which helps prevent surprise costs. In the extremely rare event that something outside a standard residential installation is discovered, your licensed installer will notify Home Battery Connect™, and we will review the situation with you before any additional work is done.

Nothing moves forward without your understanding and approval.

After You Move Forward

What happens after I confirm my system?

After you confirm your system selection, we’ll coordinate the next steps with your assigned installation partner. This includes a site inspection to confirm a standard installation, followed by permitting, scheduling, and payment finalization based on your chosen method.

You’ll be guided through each step and always know what’s coming next before moving forward.

Can I change my system choice later?

Yes. You can adjust system size before final confirmation, and your system walkthrough updates automatically to reflect the change.
